![]() ![]() In 2008, Dave and Pat moved to the Houston area where Dave worked in the oil & gas industry. After retiring from the Navy in 1991, Dave worked in the field of forensic engineering in Annapolis, Maryland and Dacula, Georgia. Dave’s final tour of duty was on the faculty at the United States Naval Academy. While in the Navy, Dave took advantage of an educational program that allowed him to earn a degree in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University (1975) and a commission as an Ensign at the same time.ĭave and Pat had various duty stations around the United States and the world. After boot camp in San Diego, California and additional training in Pensacola, Florida, he returned to Savannah long enough to marry Pat. He remained in Savannah until 1970 when he enlisted in the United States Navy. When Todd is not busy “putting out fires” and serving others he loves to fly fish, make great good and enjoy a good beverage with friends.ĭave was born in Savannah, Georgia in 1950. Todd is married to his sweetheart Karen and they have an adult daughter Abbey Phillips Wilson. Todd has served as an elder for over 10 years and was a part of the organizing session for King’s Cross Church in 2014 and served in that capacity until being elected as an elder of King’s Cross in 2021. Todd attended Texas A&M where he studied biology and then transferred and graduated with a Degree in Criminology and Corrections from Sam Houston State University. Todd Phillips has served the last 23 years as police officer in the city of Houston. Charles is married to Kathryn Probst Parks for over 39 years and they have two sons, Joshua and Jonathan. Charles has been involved in many mercy and justice ministries to include inner city ministries, and overseas missions.Ĭharles is a social entrepreneur and he and his wife are partners with Land of A Thousand Hills Coffee company and Do Good Coffee in Rwanda, Africa, where they invest in coffee farming villages providing living wages, education, healthcare and clean water, while celebrating the craft of specialty coffee. He was a strong supporter of the first RUF campus minister at the University of Nebraska. He helped Harvest move from Mission status to Particularization and served on Presbytery committees as well. In 1998, Charles was the founding Ruling Elder and was ordained and installed at Harvest Community Church, Omaha Nebraska. Throughout his Air Force career he served in various capacities within the church at different assignments. He holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration and a Masters in both Aeronautical Science and Military History. Charles has been a member of the PCA since 1979, and was a student of Westminster Fellowship at the University of Southern Mississippi ( later Reformed University Fellowship). He is father to Kenneth, Trinity, Nathan, Jacob and grandfather to Payton and Oliver JoshuaĬharles Parks is a 27 veteran of the United States Air Force and currently a Captain with United Airlines. RJ has been married to Stacey Joshua, currently a Professor at LoneStar College Cy-Fair, for more than 21 yrs. RJ looks forward to helping KXC care for the Cypress community and serve it well in Christ. He has travelled abroad to Mexico, Brazil, Eritrea, and Kenya for the purpose of caring for orphans and widows as well as serving as a board member for an orphanage in North India. RJ is new to Presbyterian life, but is impressed by the level of care the presbytery structure affords, and caring for people is what RJ cares about most. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, RJ has walked with God since he was a boy, and he sat with his own grandfather, watching him study his Bible and prepare sermons for the church his grandfather pastored in Oakland, CA. ![]() ![]() ![]() Roosevelt “RJ” Joshua is a recent transplant to the Houston area from Los Angeles, CA. Dennis and Jane enjoy snow sports, hiking, reading, good wine and sports. Jane and Dennis are from Tennessee but are happy transplants who are delighted at the opportunity to take part in the mission of building Christ’s Church in Cypress.ĭennis holds a BA in Organizational Communication from the University of Memphis, an MA in Faith and Culture from Trinity International University, and a Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary. Dennis also was the Lead Pastor for a suburban church in Tucson for five years and has served with other suburban churches throughout the country including Houston. He planted the RUF chapter at the University of Arizona ministering in a diverse and unchurched community. Dennis has a deep passion for sharing the amazing story of Jesus with others and seeing the transforming power of that story impacting lives and communities.ĭennis has been ministering to and with students and young adults for over 25 years.
